We, as a team from Peru, have chosen to name our artificial intelligence model ‘Tunki’ after the mythical and emblematic bird of Peru. The Tunki bird, with its rich cultural significance and deep roots in Peruvian folklore, represents not only our nation’s heritage but also the potential for discovery, innovation, and elevation. Just as the Tunki bird is revered in our culture, we believe our AI model embodies the spirit of exploration, resilience, and the pursuit of knowledge. By naming our model after this iconic bird, we aim to honor our Peruvian heritage while simultaneously emphasizing the groundbreaking nature of our work.
